As part of us honouring Remembrance Day we made the traditional ANZAC biscuits that would most likely have been a welcomed treat by soldiers. We chatted about why we remember and what happens if we don't honour or remember the sacrifice of those who have gone before us in war.

  • 1 cup (150g) plain flour

  • 1 cup (80g) desiccated coconut

  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup (110g) caster sugar

  • 1/4 cup (55g) brown sugar

  • 125g butter

  • 2 tablespoon golden syrup

  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
